This spiky planter was wheel thrown using a reclaimed/recycled clay that was a combination of all the clays I use in my studio! Combined, they create a medium red clay with dark specks that show through glazes. The exterior is glazed with a warm toasted marshmallow glaze, while the spikes are left unglazed to show the earthy color of the clay.

The tray beneath has four pointed feet, left unglazed in the same style as the textural spikes on the body.

This planter has five drain holes and the inside has been left unglazed to help with absorption of excess water, making this the perfect home for a cactus.

This piece measures - 4 W x 4.25 H in. with tray, and the interior height is 2.75 inches.
